Gambhir बोले - 'Milestones celebrate करना बंद करो, trophies celebrate करो'

India के head coach Gautam Gambhir ने T20 World Cup 2026 जीतने के बाद एक strong message दिया जो Indian cricket की mentality को define करता है - "Milestones celebrate करना बंद करो, trophies celebrate करो."

Gambhir का philosophy - trophies matter

Gambhir हमेशा से team-first approach के supporter रहे हैं. जब वो 2011 World Cup Final में 97 पर out हुए थे तो century miss होने का कोई दुख नहीं था, क्योंकि India ने trophy जीती थी. आज coach के रूप में भी उनका message वही है.

"Individual milestones अच्छे हैं, लेकिन असली celebration तब होनी चाहिए जब trophy cabinet में कुछ नया आए," Gambhir ने कहा. ये बात आज के cricket में बहुत relevant है जहां personal records को बहुत ज्यादा importance दी जाती है.

Dravid, Laxman और Agarkar को दिया credit

Gambhir ने अपनी जीत का credit अकेले नहीं लिया. उन्होंने specifically Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman और Ajit Agarkar को धन्यवाद दिया और कहा कि Indian cricket में उनके contribution ने आज की team की foundation बनाई.

Dravid ने पिछले coach के रूप में team culture build किया. Laxman ने NCA में young players को develop किया. और Agarkar ने chief selector के रूप में सही players को pick किया. Gambhir ने इन तीनों की भूमिका को publicly acknowledge किया.

Coach Gambhir का report card

Gambhir ने 2024 में coaching role संभाला था और तब से उनकी journey mixed रही. कुछ series हारे, criticism झेला, लेकिन ICC trophy जीतना ultimate validation है. T20 World Cup 2026 जीतकर Gambhir ने अपने critics को जवाब दिया.
