West Asia conflict की वजह से ICC Board meetings Doha में cancel हो गई हैं. Afghanistan-Sri Lanka white-ball series भी postpone हो गई है. Teams को India से निकलने में भी दिक्कतें आई थीं.
Cricket की दुनिया पर West Asia conflict का असर लगातार बढ़ रहा है. ICC Board की Doha में होने वाली meetings cancel कर दी गई हैं और Afghanistan-Sri Lanka की white-ball series भी postpone हो गई है. T20 World Cup के बाद India से teams को वापस भेजने में भी काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी.
ICC Board meetings cancel
ICC ने confirm किया है कि Doha में होने वाली Board meetings West Asia conflict के चलते cancel कर दी गई हैं. अब कुछ meetings अगले कुछ weeks में virtually होंगी. यह meetings काफी important थीं क्योंकि इनमें future tournaments और cricketing calendar पर key decisions होने थे.
Afghanistan-Sri Lanka series postpone
Afghanistan और Sri Lanka के बीच होने वाली white-ball series, जो UAE में खेली जानी थी, postpone हो गई है. UAE भी ongoing military crisis से affected है, जिसकी वजह से matches वहां safe नहीं माने गए. Afghanistan Cricket Board इस situation को closely monitor कर रहा है.
यह series दोनों teams के लिए important थी. Sri Lanka ने हाल ही में Gary Kirsten को men's head coach appoint किया है जो 15 April से charge लेंगे. Kirsten का two-year contract है जो April 2028 तक चलेगा. उनकी appointment के बाद पहली series ही postpone होना Sri Lanka के planning को affect करेगा.
Teams को India छोड़ने में आई दिक्कतें
T20 World Cup India में खेला गया और tournament खत्म होने के बाद West Indies, South Africa और England जैसी teams को West Asia airspace closures की वजह से India से निकलने में काफी problems हुईं. West Indies तो March 1 से India में ही फंसे हुए थे.
आखिरकार charter flights arrange करके teams को India से weekend पर निकाला गया. West Indies और South Africa को early hours में commercial flights से भी भेजा गया. यह situation दिखाती है कि geopolitical tensions cricket scheduling को कितना disrupt कर सकते हैं.
आगे क्या होगा?
ICC को अब virtually important decisions लेने होंगे. Afghanistan cricket सबसे ज्यादा affected है क्योंकि उनकी home series UAE में ही होती हैं. अगर conflict और लंबा चला तो IPL 2026 से पहले और भी scheduling changes हो सकते हैं. Cricket fans को उम्मीद है कि जल्द से जल्द situation normal हो और cricket calendar वापस track पर आए.
